Broken Aerial
I picked up a Metra antenna at my local Autozone for roughly $50 after my stock one developed an internal short and started draining the battery when the car was off. Said it was for mid-80s GM cars I think and came with a variety of bushings to mate with the boot, although I think in the end I used the 'adjustable' bushing that came with it. Took less than an hour to fit and replace.
Works fine a year later. I also removed the 10 second delay timer in the process.
I'll take a look at it tonight and see if I can pull the model number off it.
Cheers,
- Will

Why not choose JDHT , a source for the genuine replacement rod + fibre coil. Instructions on replacing comes with it. Quite inexpensive and original. Usually the rest of the antenna is OK, but it can misbehave if the antenna gets slow in going up or down. It is supposed to cut power after a while but .......

Unfortunately my model number is obscured and I'd have to uninstall to see it...
I'm fairly certain the antenna was listed as being compatible with most 80's GM cars though.
