Broken Visor Bracket
Glue the broken piece in place and then fill the mount with epoxy. This will work for a while until the epoxy shrinks and separates from the inside of the clip. then you can glue it back. To be sure these are temporary fixes but they do work.
Paul- Problem is, the post is not accessible (at least not without taking it to shop). There are mounts for sale, but I would need the whole assembly and even then would have to take it to shop. Was hoping plastic glue would work. Will try again, but first will roughen surfaces so that glue might hold.
the visor clip is unscrewed from where the visor clips in, and its a 30 second job , nothing else needs taking apart, unless i am not understanding the issue correctly
as paul says, a ten dollar part and 30 seconds work , problem solved,
you could even buy two of them, for when the other side goes,,,,,,

If you look at the pic, the plastic post that broke off from the mount cannot be removed by unscrewing. It will turn but not come off. Are you maybe referring to the end of the visor rod where the clip is screwed in?
Have you looked for the screw that runs up through the mount?
This is the only way they are installed.
Re a new clip; there is a very limited supply/color choice here in the States.

My apologies and thanks to all! I feel a bit dumb but relieved after finding the screw inside the broken post. Will order a couple of new ones. Brain freeze I guess.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
