building a 6.8 ltr v12

building a 6.5 ltr v12 (formally the 6.8)
so ive been going back and forth about buying a 6.0 block and stroking it, or buying a set of liners and making them work. i finally settled on the 6.8 with the 5.3 crank stroked to the 6l stroke and using 1.888 journal nascar rods. what convinced me was that the 5.3 cranks are a dime a dozen, where as i struggled to find a 6l crank. so if i spin a breaing. im SOL. which was highlighted in a conversation with my dad.
SO i need help finding some things, does anyone know where i can get some 96mm liners? i know rob beeres has them and westwood cylinder liners has them. im still trying to get a hold of them. After that i am going to get a set of custom dish forged pistons made (flathead motor) from Diamond pistons. a little pricy, but my track record.... AND finally after i will get a set of upgraded intakes from Bob Tilly with his group A set up.
i know ill end up talking to myself but i plan on documenting everything i do on this thread. hopefully to inspire people to be a little less afraid of modifying the jaguar v12
edit: I found out you can't cut the crank that much, so I have decided to build a 6.5 v12 using a 75mm stroke and a 96mm bore, leaving the same bore to stroke ratio as the stock 5.3

Calvin,
I'll follow this thread. I have JagZilla's original 5.3 (with tediously ported HE heads) sitting on my garage floor. I want to punch it out to at least 7L (427c.i.), & I'm playing with the idea of lowering the compression enough to run either a pair of healthy turbos, or a quartet of smaller ones at 20-25 p.s.i. of boost on premium pump gas.

I ported the heads myself, using a Dremel with a flexible shaft extension (before I had pneumatic tools). I pretty much burned up the Dremel and went through several metal burs and at least a hundred sandpaper rolls. You can see a "before & after" example of the ports in my garage photos.

yeah 87$ from a company that makes custom liners. the problem I forsee is they don't have the beveling at the top, because I didn't want to make them that thin, so they wont have the water jacket clearance that the factory did, so im going to have to go and mill a little aluminum off each stud housing to make them flow better.
I would personally rather them thicker than thinner. I want to be able to push 600+ hp through this, and I don't like the idea of a 3mm wall with coolant on oneside and combustion on the other. destine for a crack there.

so I lied, I went with the rob beere liners. they were 40$ more and im purchasing them Monday! im having the crank ground to the 6l stroke and using 2.1 journal rods. hopefully this will happen next week. then deciding on.how to get my custom pistons. round dish of valve relieved.
ill be porting the pre he heads and relapping the valves. post some pics soon enough

Cal have you seen this if not mif\ght pay to have talk to them
Builiding the 7.4 Litre Stroker Engine
Also when you have the crank ground have it modified for a lip rear main seal.
