Default Calling any XJS "facelift" v12 6.0 litre owners

Happy new Year to all on the Jaguar and the XJS forum.

I am interested in making contact with other owners of the facelift V12 6.0 litre coupes.
If you have one please share a photo and details.

Here is a link to some photos of my 1994 (build) first registered 1995 XJS Coupe v12

My XJS by Paul_59 | JaguarForums.com

Hi
I live in UK and bought my 6.0L XJS coupe (1993 model) in Oct 2014.

It's my first Jaguar and my daily driver.
Covered about 18000 miles since buying it.
Now got 95000miles on clock, mostly trouble free motoring.
Have needed new starter motor and replacement crank sensor, new battery otherwise just routine servicing.
Needs air conditioning repairing (compressor).

Love driving and owning it.

Hi Paul,

What colour is yours?

Any chance of seeing some photos of your 6.0 litre facelift?

Also, what is the market like in the UK for these cars? Are there any for sale, and if they do come up, what is the asking price range?

Good to hear you are enjoying your car - BTW what were the symptoms that indicated you needed a new crank sensor?

redgear,

the market for late XJS is very strong in the UK at the moment, particularly for convertibles. And the market for late 6 litre convertibles is the strongest of all.

There is one dealer here in the UK that has even been importing LHD 6 litre convertibles from the US and selling them for Ģ35,000+. He even has one 5k mile car up for sale at Ģ65,000.

Enjoy the car.

Paul

"This is one nice ride! Congratulations!"

Thanks Roger95

And thanks PTJS1

The prices for the facelift convertibles (V12 6.0 litre) do not surprise me as they are the rarest of the rare!

What about facelift coupe 6.0 litre prices - seen any of those for sale?

Hi redgear. I have a BRG 6.0 convertible here in northern Ca with 88k miles and no operational issues. Just done a cooling system overhaul and am currently refurbing the turbine 20 spoke rims and new tires. Like to keep most things original.

Mine is a 94 6.0, 2+2 convertible that I bought in November with 90K miles. Still going through everything maintenance wise. I hope to have it were it is feeling "reliable" to me by spring for top down weather. The car runs great, but with all the things that can go wrong on this car, I guess I'm a little paranoid. It is a blast to drive.

I have a 95 6.0 V12 Coupe. One of the last 50 I believe.

Currently has blown head gasket. Need to locate/build one of those head pullers so I can get on that this fall.

Here are some photos of my XJR-S 1992 model. 90,000km, color is Brooklands Green and the car was sold new in Germany. I bought it from a collector in February and the car is now with me in Norway.

Another XJR-S here. Purchased at auction last year and since undergone IRS upgrades and conversion to manual.

Beavis, your R-S seems to have outboard rear brakes, so easing maintenance but increasing unsprung weight.
Is this part of your "upgrade"?

Hi paydase, yes absolutely. It has XJR (x308) rear outboard brakes, and while as you say the weight is increased I will eventually be putting billet calipers on there! She also got an ARB and Anti tramp kit along with AM Vantage lower wishbones. :-)

Thanks. Yes it is on the market. It seems from the comments it has got on the forums in Norway that not many people here understand what it is. Looks like they think it is an XJS. I donīt need to sell it and the prices look like they are on the way up :-) so it could continue to sit where it is.
