Canvas electric folding roof????
Looking to do something to get a bit of open air roof on my 1988 Xjs
Was planning on an aftermarket new webosto sunroof installed from official dealer but saw the retractable canvas roof while I was there.
Now I can't seem to get It out of my head. I recall seeing a very old photo of an early XJS with one and liked the look. Would certainly be unique and the cost isn't that much different than the glass roof.
Since my car is now black, the glass roof would blend and be very period from the 80's but I think the canvas would be very British!!
Question is: my car is piano black with the tan interior. Do I go with tan canvas or black. I'm leaning black if I go canvas but several friends think tan would be more vintage.
Any thoughts?
And I've done the research and they are very reliable. Same manufacturer as the new fiat roofs

Kind of what I was thinking. Going to see in person at the installers. Only thing is there is a raised lip at leading edge. Probably to divert water. Not sure if I like that part. Still on the hunt for that photo I saw months ago.
