Default CC adjustment

After switching ON, my CC speed is set about 10 km higher than is real speed.
It's not a serious bug, but I'd like to set CC roughly the same as real speed.
Of course I have (as always) two options.
Drink 2-3 beers and forget about this problem and always set the CC 10 km earlier than is the real speed.
Or try to solve the problem (unfortunately I do not know how) and drink 2-3 beers after resolution.
Any ideas, please?

There's a small faster/slower adjustment screw on the cruise control module. The module is in the vicinity of the glovebox (on a LHD car, at least).

I'm on my first cuppa coffee so further details will have to wait till later.....or until a less blurry-eyed person comes along

Cheers

The adjustment pot is the one furthest away from where the wire bundle enters the box. Very sensitive little bugger it is too. Best done with a helper while driving..great fun.
