Default CD Player DBC10432 (Trunk mounted) XJS

My CD Player will not recognize disks. It provides error message "NO DISC." The cure is to clean the laser (which I did) and/or make an adjustment to the laser potentiometer (pot). The problem is I can not find the pot, if there is one? I am open to suggestions for repair and/or purchase.
I also considered other CD players. but have no idea how to connect with Blue tooth or FM wireless
And finally, the purchase of a radio (make and model) that will play CD's and fit in an XJS

Thanks for your help

Default XJS CD player

I have a 94 XJS parts car here with the CD changer in the trunk. I believe it is fine. I can send you pics- what's your Email address? Asking $150

The 6 disc CD changer is an Alpine unit, you can also use one from an X300. I changed the head unit to an older Alpine unit and the CD player plugged right in and recognized the CD changer.

OK, I do realize that this pretty much changes the subject but, if you're going to buy another radio, why don't you consider a radio with either USB or SanDisk, or both ports? They hardly increase the price of the radio and they're so much more practical, once you insert it you keep it there forever, or until you have more music to load in it. A changer is 6 CD's tops, plus you have to be changing CD's once you've heard those six enough, whereas a USB stick can store most likely all of your music. and they're so cheap nowadays. A 32 GB USB stick is about $5.00 and it holds about 576 CD's or the equivalent of 96 ea. CD changers of 6 CD's each. Yes, you have to load the music, but that's not exactly brain surgery, provided that you have the music in your pc or laptop. But, better yet, if you have music in your smart phone you get a radio with Blue Tooth and play the music from your smart phone in the car radio. I have my entire music library in my smart phone, as well.

I do all of this with both, my XJS and with my XJR. In my XJS I have my entire music library in a 56 GB USB stick, which is about 7,500 files between Symphonic and opera music, plus some jazz.
Also, since the radio has a 4.1" HD display, I also have my movie library in a 256 GB SanDisk with no less than 165 movies to pick from. Oh BTW, my radios don't even have a CD player, or CD changer.

BTW, this radio is very inexpensive. The display is far more clear and far brighter than this photo shows.

Are you using original CDs ? the original player wont read recorded ones. I changed mine out to an Alpine model that will.

Forcedair1 and Malc4d
Thanks for the replies; they were appreciated
My player is a DBC10432 and the radio is an AJ9150W. CD are original and not copies. I am trying to keep the car original and therefore did not want to use later equipment. But, if I upgrade I can always keep the takeouts in a box in a closet! That said, I can put in a 1 din radio that fits the XJS. I like the radio Forcedair1 installed and would appreciate getting the makers name and model number. Other dropin model numbers would also be helpful to me and anyone else that reads this post.
THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INPUT!
