Cleaning Grounds for front lighting system
Rather than ressurect a thread from a couple of months ago I'm just going to ask the question here. I've had problems with the front lights --- when I got the car both turn signals were burned out and now the parking lights are inop. One of the suggestions at the time was to check the grounds. I'm not getting around to do that but I have a dumb question... Where are the grounds connected?
Thanks Doug, that confirms what I heard elsewhere. I think I'll probably replace the bulb for the parking light even if it isn't blown - does anybody know if it is a local auto parts store kinda bulb (and if so what number)?
ya its on each side, there is a coiled up bunch of wire and the outer most bolts going through the top of the radiator panel go right through those wires.
you should be able to get them at a parts store. the descriptions are british so they are really weird hmmm im getting 9126,9594 but im not sure. You have to take it out to change it anyways so just take it with you.
Ive never not been able to find a bulb at a parts store, they just aren't that specialized.
EDIT: then again i go to pep boys alot and they usually have more

Another dumb question: I raised the bonnet to check things out when I got home this evening. Could see the earth points easily enough but then I looked for how the change the bulbs in the headlight clusters. Do you have to pull out the whole things to get to them?
