my clutch hose which was a weird combination of hose and adapters by PO literally fell apart. That would be part 11 in the diagram.
Per catalog - the OE part is CAC7876. When I looked up specs - the OE hose has m10x1 thread on both ends. Obviously I could not find a website where I can find a brake/clutch hose by length and end fittings, so after checking a lot of them one-by-one I found a hose with m10x1 ends and ordered it. Unfortunately I did not measure actual thread sizes and it turns out I have 12mm threads on both - slave cylinder and metal pipe(I guess it has been replaced, or Jaguar M10 thread means something else) . I just can't find a 24"(or so) hose that would have M12x1 fittings on both ends.
Anyone can suggest where I can find a hose like that? or perhaps knows part number I am looking for. The slave cylinder I have is probably from some other model.
Temporarily in Autozone I found 48" bendable metal pipe with M12x1 fittings on both side and ran it all the way from dampener to slave cylinder ( that confirms 12x1 thread on both), but that pipe I am sure will fail any moment due to gearbox vibration. I really need a hose designed to take the vibration.
It just make me sick that in places like autozone sales people can't help with such a simple question. All they can ask is 'What is your car model and year' that leads to nowhere...
Well, I managed... Just in case anyone else runs into this problem - Volkswagen uses clutch hoses with same M12x1 ends. I also got a piece of metal line from Autozone and connected with union.
