Default Clutch Master Cylinder help needed

Well my clutch master cylinder decided to go kaput today. Murphy is alive and well as it's my Jag club concours in a week so I'm in a rush to get it fixed.

I've been looking online for a replacement for CBC9742 but no-one seems to have one. Is there a compatible master cylinder out there that will fit?

Many thanks,

Allan

Have you tried SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist ? They're in NH.

Also I would telephone XJS Jaguar Parts Cataog in Michigan, because he'll have lots of manual transmission experience. Don't worry that the part isn't listed on his site. Even if you could get a rebuild kit, it's not a big job to do or have done.

Greg,

Yes I tried both SNG and Terry's but they show it as special order only. I'll call them tomorrow as I will all the other suppliers (no-one there yesterday) I have also been looking for the rebuild kit but I can't even find that

I would have thought the rebuild parts would be fairly standard but I can't get any cross references.

Cheers,

Allan

I bought an OEM Jaguar clutch master cylinder from Terry's a year and a half ago. The price was around $190 including shipping, and the delivery quick.

Thanks Steve, I'll add them to the list. JustJags (Myton) is showing they have it in the UK so I'll give them a bell too.

Default All Sorted

You really have to love these forums. A very nice chap in MD had a spare one and agreed to sell it to me. Should have it Tuesday, then install and get ready for the concours this weekend

Cheers,

Allan
