Default clutch pedal retrofit

so im trying to decide whats the best way to go about putting a clutch pedal in my non ABS XJS. ive seen some pictures and such but the problem i keep facing is that the master cylinder is gonna end up in the wheel well.

so if you have pics i would love it if you post em. walk me through it. etc.

thanks a bunch.

Have you thought of buying a 3.6 litre six cylinder manual XJS's pedal box? It will drop straight in.

Keep watching, there are cheaper out there. The swap will be the cheaper and easiest to do.

yeah those kits are way too much money.
i only spent $50 on the whole transmission. i cant justify that sort of expendature. i know there are people who have built their own for around $100

Wilwood (and others, no doubt) make all sort of clutch pedal assemblies that would probably work with a little adapting...

If ya sent me your pedal box I could fab up the bracket and make one for way less than 550$

Ps. My welding has vastly improved since I made my first clutch pedals I made years back

I just purchased the correct pedal box for my conversion on a 89 Teeves car, LH drive. I can send pics of it if anyone needs them. I don't know how to post pics on here, but can take pics easy with my phone, and email them. The master mounts horizontally, and the pedal appears to push the master cylinder rod up, if that makes sense. The factory master/reservoir look very neatly tucked together, so I have asked a contact in England to try and source a used master, as it appears they would be the same for LH, and RH drive cars. The clutch master would mount to the left of the actuator either way, from the drivers seat point of view.
