Well it’s done, certainly not professional quality, and some big noticeable errors, but I am thrilled. 200 dollars for no more foam dust, foam dust odor and drooping headliner is worth the price. I used Velcro, zippy ties and I had to create a piece of trim up front to cover up my mess up (where arrow is pointing).... When the new top goes in this headliner will go to the trash, but I don’t care.
That has come out well, what a mess.
Hope I do not have to do that any time soon, would this damage be caused by the sun?
Damage was caused by the top being fully removed when the car was stripped to bare metal and repainted, and then when reinstalled, they left it down as they wet-sanded, washed etc.
Now that this is solved, I will go ahead and buy a new canvas top, another headliner and cables parts slowly, so that it’s all ready to go to the installer whenever I am ready to pay for it, with no rush to drop the 2-2.5k all at once.
