Default Cruise Control Cable Adjustment

I'm currently sorting out my CC (1991 XJ-S V12) which hasn't worked for some time. I have replaced the bellows with a new one. It seals well to the end plates now. I have also checked the two solenoids and they seem to work fine. I'm wondering now if the cable coming from the firewall to the bellows is adjusted correctly. I can't seem to find anything on the forum covering this. Any help would be appreciated!

Memory,

About 2mm slack.
I always had some slack in that cable, never really measured it, just ensured there was some slack.

Too much slack, and there can be a delay in the take up of the cruise, not enough, and the other system, accel cable, gets screwed up.
