That is fugly. I can see subtle angel eyes (halos) for daytime running lights, but even that is overdone on this car. No taste. They will be lucky to get $4k.

If I were that type of person who likes to provoke arguments, I'd say something about the Leaper........but I won't.

I can never understand why people go to so much effort to customize a car and then they leave crappy wheels on it.

It is obvious that this guy lacks true Jag/XJS class. If he didn't, that same money and effort would've gone into something that would enhance it, while dignifying the kitty's tradition. This aberration exhibits no class in any sense of the word.

BTW, is it my idea or is the front lifted, as if it had a Chevy in there?

Cheers,

The car still has its original V12 so I dont know why the front-end is so high. Maybe a new set of springs.

I'm sure he went into the project thinking that he would never sell the car so making it a custom was no problem. He would enjoy it and there's nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately now he needs money and he has tied up a lot into this car. His asking price reflects his time and money invested as well as his emotional attachment to the car. He does not really want to sell it so his asking price is high.

If he had spent the time and money to do a proper restoration he would have ended up with a more desirable car and a potentially larger amount of interested buyers. He would probably still not recoup his total investment but he'd have a better chance selling a restored car as opposed to a custom.

I'd say the Leaper was the least of the issues here.
The Leaper is the only mod I like. Lol

Interesting, to say the least. It might not be my taste but it looks like the body work/paint at least looks good, even if it's not a design that I would ever care to have on my Jag.

I think you're correct in your assessment, Safari. The guy obviously loves the car to spend that kind of time, cash, and attention to it and probably was never going to sell it, but now that he is (or has to) he can't seem to just waste the cash he's put in, hence the asking price.

Either that picture was taken right after the paint was done, or the guy owns/works at a body shop. If he works at a body shop then I can understand the crazy body kit and paint to an extent; if you work all day making cars look good then you'd probably want yours to look "good" (relative term, here.) as well.

I like the leaper, myself...

More like he's getting married to someone with good taste! Why on earth would you strive to make the body look "aggressive" then put wires on the wheels and a "leaper" on it. I'll have to say, I'm not a wire/leaper fan on the XJS yet those are the only two good points on the whole car!

Historically speaking, guys lose more good cars because of that, than for any other reason. In the long run, most of them end up wishing they had called that bluff, and kicked her to the curb

Agreed! Relationships based on threats and extortion never turn out well. If he *Wants* to sell the car, of course that's another matter, but if she's making him sell it, she has other glaring faults that will surface sooner or later (maybe sooner than later) and he will grow to resent her and everything she's ever made him do.

But you guys know that already.

Not selling any more of my 'fun' cars. If I need to raise money I'll work harder or sell some other assets.

Simply Stunning!
Never seen a better example offered, Is it a v12 or a more fabulous upgrade?

Ah well! I simple encourage more of this as the more its done, the more mine is worth.

It is hard to tell but the decal below the fender stripe looks like an Albanian Double Headed Eagle. I bet this would be big in Tirana!

I love the halo headlights personally, may be cause I am young and really into customization but I will eventually put halos on mine but that body kit is horrendous!

The paint looks nice but i could go without the fender stripe and badge below it and good lord the front id way to high!

In my opinion customization of this car will look good if done right.....not this, but each to his own I guess!
