Default Damit ..now mine !!

So guys.
For a sort while the ignition would light up the dash lights but the motor wouldn't turn. try a few times. wobble the gear leaver and it would turnover and start.
Then later it began to turn over but not start. Thinking ahha, battery. I jumped it and yeah it started.
Bought a new battery and again the lights then start. Now l cant get it to turn over or start.

There was a thread about the gear inhibitor and 1 about taking the ignition switch apart and cleaning it. Anyone know where to find then ?

Also does this sound like a fuel problem ?

There is a microswitch on the gearlever that prevents the starter activation by the ignition key unless the car is in neutral or park. If, repeat if, jiggling the lever in park or neutral makes the starter kick in on the key, it is possible/likely that this switch is a bit out of alignment or starting to fail. To get to it requires the ski slope to be removed.

Spent some time today switching the ignition on/off. The roof works so the gear lock is working... When l turn the key there is a click from around the engine area. Starter relay ?? but no turning. Is there an ignition fuse ?

Pull the cover on starter relay and hold a finger on it while turning key. You should feel it if it's working. While you're there you could jump 12 volts to heavy white/Red solonoid feed to check starter itself.

So today l chased up the relay click. Comes from one of the blue relays on the right wing/fender, 1 is the horn 2 is the A/c clutch and 3 is starter. After a bit of clean and testing of the relay, the car will once again turn over....but not start.
Should l hear the fuel pump somewhere pumping ?

Another unplug and clean up and it lives again.. even got rid of the abs light.
