Default Dimmer rheostat

My gauge lights will not brighten or dim. Is the rheostat usually the problem?

Hi JD

That could well be the Problem and Twisting it back and forth a few times, can quite often put it right

Little shot of contact cleaner and some turning restored mine to 95% effectiveness. On my 90 I was able to get a good shot at it after removing the interior light to the lect of it and moving the lights black housing out of the way a bit.
