If you mean the leather covered arm rests/handles then the answer is yes and no!
I have a 1990 convertible (if this makes a difference) and the hardest part is avoiding damage to the leather when accessing the bolt hidden behind the chrome piece at the forward end of the handle. It has to be eased back slightly and sort of rotated; lashings of some non-damaging lube is recommended. Mine was immovable initially but finally gave way with only some damage. This is one of the necessary steps to get the door card off, which you will have to do to remove the handle off completely as it has bent tabs through the card and metal "hooks" which locate into the door itself to give strength when pulling the door closed.
I have behind the door photos which i can post if you are interested, let me know.
Regards
Graham

I just realized that my obsession with door cards made me completely forget there were handles on the outside of the car, which is probably what you meant. Please accept the free but not so useful advice i posted previously...

What year and model.

On mine a 1992 coupe, frameless widows, there's two 8mm nuts, one at the end furthes from the edge of the door and one on a bracket about two thirds of the way along. There's also two linkages which have to be removed.
The nuts can be just accessed just with a spanner and laboriously unwound.
The linkages are unclipped.
Removing the little chrome piece at the top rear of the door and the rubber piece under it allows you to get a little viewing access.
Helps to have small multi-jointed hands.

Replacement is a reversal of the above procedure, except even more fiddly and frustrating.

You can take the glass out, but look out for the "captive" nuts on the door glass as they are only held by plastic and will rotate if you foolishly attempt to remove it. Trouble you have to in order to get the glass out!!! Took me two days and much bad language and cursing of the designer!!!
