Door Lock Issue

I did the same with my passenger door locks. I worked the inside handle, outside handle and key at same time. Multiply combos over and over then it freed up and worked ever since.
Also randomly sprayed penetrating fluid inside door through window slot handles and lock

Sorry about latching onto the older thread, it was very relavant to my problem. And my bad for not describing my kitty - 1996 XJS convertible with the 4.0 litre AJ16 motor.
Using the key in the drivers side door lock and turning CW, always unlocks. Turning CCW does not lock? Feels like the key pyhsically can't turn far enough?
I have located remote lock fobs online. I want to make sure my car has a remote system from the factory - how do I tell?

On the earlier models the control unit sits behind the right hand trunk side panel. A box is fixed behind the rear light and has cables that go to a big white cable connector
