Default Doors

My 89 convertible doors are in poor shape. Does anyone know if I could use coupe doors and simply remove the window frames and swap over any necessarys. I have had a measure and the door body shells appear the same? Many thanks in advance for any help lads

I know the 89 coupe doors have the window frames welded to the door whereas the convertible has frameless windows.

If it's rust in the bottom of the doors it would be easier to cut it out and weld new metal in.

I don't know if facelift doors are the same size, but I do know that my 93 6.0 facelift coupe has frameless door window

The door size is the same. The skins are different, due to different handles.

Coupe doors from the early facelifts should work, as they have the old-style lift-up handles that my wife hates.

No they won't as all prefacelifts had the little quarter light and the window had a frame. Again, welded.

But would you need those quarter lights? If the shape's the same, just get some vehicle-side sealing strips for the A pillar and replace the whole thing.
Unless it's never that simple....
