I am in the process of restoring my 93 XJS Coupe and have a new question for this forum. I have been able to remove the A- and C-post trim from my car but am struggling to find a way to remove the drip rail trim that runs along the side of the roof from back to front. At first I thought it was clipped onto the bodywork whereby a gentle tap from would release it. But that doesn't work and I am very anxious not to damage the trim. Any clues on how this works on a 1993 model?
I have been able to remove the A- and C-post trim from my car but am...
Could you explain how you got the A and C post trim off please? I'm still deciding on what to do with my 91 Face Lift coup...keep it and restore it...or just concentrate on my 90 Convert.

The c-post trim is secured with 4 small screws that can only be removed if you remove the quarter windows (which is a bit of job but it is described on this forum by me in another post). The a-post requires the doorseal to be removed. This will reveal a black rail running all along the top that is secured with approx 8 small screws. remove them and then carefully pry the black rail (it may be stuck to the body work) out. This will then allow you to get access to the a-post trim. This trim may also be stuck to the bodywork so use a creditcard like device to separate the trim from the body as much as possible. Then, just like the drip rail release it from the top with a gentle tap upwards and outwards. This should then allow you to fiddle with it a bit and release it from the body.
