Default efi connector polarity

so im mid efi harness rebuild and have noticed the black striped wire randomly is connected to the other side as the majority of the others. are the fuel injectors able to be fired with current in either direction or do i have to really pay attention and copy the hook up of the plugs?

My understanding, and I think it's commonly held, is that injectors are bi-polar [grin]. They don't care which way they're wired up....at least not the old style Bosch type injectors used in the 80s-90s.

I've also heard, but never confirmed, that *technically speaking* this is a definite polarity but in all reality the operational difference is totally insignificant.

So, IMHO....no worries. Others will chime in.

For consistancy, and as an aid to future troubleshooting, it might be nice of all of 'em were wired up the same way.

Cheers
DD
