electric cooling for V12 XJS............
as the title really,
i bought a 2700cfm 12v 16" electric fan to replace the viscous fitting, it needed replacing anyway , so i though this would be the best way to go ,
i have had the fan for 18 months now, and have been racking my brain as how to mount it, as luck would have it the fan fitted inside the original cowl, so a quick modification and hey presto
the 16" fan with fixing clips
the original cowl, with ' tabs ' cut out of the edge for the fan brackets
fan mounted into the cowl with self-drilling screws used to fix it ( tek-screws)
rear view
with a little more cleaning up, and some satin black hammerite it will look great
all i need to do now is find a temp switch and wire it in once fitted
BB
btw, i fitted the replacement bonnet today as well 8-)
