Engine bay labels
I have some engine bay labels that are either damaged or missing on my '94 XJS, 4.0L. I'm going to call around the local Jag dealers, but I doubt it very much that they'd bother to carry labels, let alone for a 19 year-old car. The label that I need are:
Any help is much appreciated.

- Brake fluid reservoir.
- Coolant overflow tank
- Mass air flow meter.
Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers,

Thanks, Doug
Believe it or not, South Bay Jaguar, in Torrance -now gone- delivered my XJS from service with brake fluid totally soking the decal, which even after cleaning, it eventually became detached and flew away. Only next day, when I had a chance to inspect it, I realized that all four wheels/tires, the valve cover, areas on the left fender, the door edges, etc. they all had black grease all over, in addition to the brake fluid issue. Too bad that I didn't leave it as it was to show them. The work was fine, but cleanness and neatness wasn't in these guys vocabulary.
It is a real potential for trouble when you pick up the car late on Friday night, dark and raining, when everybody's gone and a salesman out front delivers the keys to you...

Having spent most of my adult life, so far, running dealership service departments I can tell you that cleanliness with customers' cars.....which should be a total no brainer....is a never-ending problem.
Some techs ...even one who are quite skilled....are just slobs with no concern for such things, totally oblivious to how badly it reflects on the entire department and dealership. A couple days suspension for flagrant/repeat offenders usually compells a change in attitude.
A good service advisor gives the car a good going-over to spot these things before it gets back to the customer although, in fairness, some dealerships stack the advisors' plates so high that this important step falls by the wayside
Cheers
