I apologize in advance if this has already been asked and answered. At any rate, I need to top off my engine coolant and need to when to do so (hot or cold), also if it is as simple as just removing the filler cap and pouring the coolant in the reservoir.

Yes, there's is a filler cap, that I believe is reverse threaded, for some strange reason. Pour it in there.
