Entertaining eBay Listing!
No affiliation with the seller, but folks, the description is worth a few minutes of your time.
Jaguar XJS Base Coupe 2 Door | eBay
This gentleman could be the greatest story teller/used car salesman of all time!
It also looks like a really nice example, to boot!

Sadly, some cats are left to fend for themselves, living on the street and scrounging for whatever they can find.
Other cats live a pampered life
The Jaguar XJS for sale here has been a very pampered cat.
In 1987 the owner of a Southern California company that sold window blinds that were installed in just a few days bought his secretary Kim a new Jaguar XJS coupé.
The company was doing very well and money was not a problem.nsnsnnssbsbsbdPhoto gallery

Needless to say this did not win him any points with his wife of 21 years. Soon thereafter they were divorced and she got half of the companies' $15 million value. The drama continues . . . he later sold the company for $35 million. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so wife #1 goes back to court to see if she could get an extra $9,000 per month for the sake of the daughter. The poor things, it's hard to live on $7.5 million.
As the ink was drying on the divorce decree, the secretary Kim became wife #2 and the gifted Jaguar that was still titled in the husband's name ended up at one of their homes near Lake Tahoe. In 1996 soon after wife #2 was gone with yet more millions the Jaguar sold so he could close that chapter of his life. (It's is hard to calculate how much buying this Jaguar for his secretary actually cost him.) Thankfully it ended up with another good home. It stayed in the Tahoe area and belonged to a husband and wife who owned an ID card lamination company. Chances are your drivers license was laminated by their company. Obviously maintaining this car to high standards was not a problem financially for either of its first two owners. After the husband passed away the Jag was donated to a charity and auctioned for a fundraiser. With still less than 50,000 miles this car must be one of the very best examples of a Jaguar XJS coupé around.
I'm the third owner and have owned the car since December 2014. I drive it occasionally but have too many cars. It runs beautifully and surprisingly enough, since it is a Jaguar, it has never overheated or left me stranded. Ask any questions before the end of the auction. Fly to San Antonio and drive it back to where you live or arrange to have it shipped. Please bid to win!

That is really hard on the eyes. The actual listing has thumbnails of the images. So it consists of huge block font that is difficult to read because you have to move across the screen 4 times to get a single sentence in, and at the same time look at the tiny dots of pictures.
Why not just let the images speak for themselves and have a brief description in a font less than 48?

With a just a brief description and photos, this would be merely another of the 100 or so generic (and quite boring!) XJS coupes listed on eBay.

It doesn't even seem that he was even trying to hide it from his wife. Announcing to the world "XJS4Kim" on the license plate was never going to last very long without somebody blowing the wistle, or it would take his wife just a single trip to the office to discover Kim's overtime "bonus"....LOL
Cheers,

I hadn't noticed the rust until you pointed it out. The photos on their website is a really terrible interface that takes forever to load!!!
Other than the rust, I don't see any wear on the car. I am going to try to check it out during the week since it is down the road from me and they said I could test drive it.

the only rust I see is staining on the exhaust (which is normal) and a few surface spots where the undercoat/paint is chipped off, I don't see anything of concern. In person will tell the tale.

Interestingly, the other one is selling with no reserve:

I wonder if I should get serious about buying that one...!

Well, I bought the car in the fist post
As advertised, extremely clean, and well maintained. Drove it about 1000 mi home. Cruise didn't work right, (bad ground somewhere), and passenger window only goes down a couple of inches. Very solid driver. Things under the hood look about as new. Even came with a set of factory workshop manuals. Very happy with my purchase.
