Default Facelift Coolant Hoses- Which ones?

I have a 96 XJS with the AJ16 engine.

I've been on JDHT and it claims I need the following hoses:
1. MHE4510AB (Octopus Hose)
2. CAC5100 (Top elbow)

Is that it? It shows the following two OTHER hoses I need if I have the water heater, which I believe I have, even though I don't live in Canada:
3. CCC6621
4. CBC6441 (NLA)

I've already replaced the ******* hose when I replaced my intake manifold gasket.

Am I missing something? I feel like I'm missing something.

I see that 178 folks have stopped by but couldn't help. Let me see if I can help sorting it out. The first 2 hose you listed according to the SNG Barratt.com website blowup parts diagram are the hoses you need if you are replacing the upper and lower hoses.
The other 2 are if you are replacing the hoses to the BLOCK heater. Do you actually have a wire coming off of the cooling system piping that plugs in to an A/C outlet to keep the engine water hot while garaged? That feature was stock for Canadian cars and I don't think was even an option for USA cars.
So if you don't have a BLOCK heater then you only need the first 2 hoses.

Thanks for the help. I was hoping to get some feedback from a facelift owner who has previously had this work done. I can't believe everyone else is driving on their original hoses...

Anyways, I do certainly seem to have the block heater, as I have located the cord inside the engine bay that I can plug into a socket so I can activate it.

That being said, I did find a "kit" list for about $175 (not gonna buy the kit) that listed the following parts:
CO-36175-11 which is an internal part reference unique to the vendor that identifies it as a "Top Radiator Hose" I can't seem to cross reference it.
CCC6959 - Hose - Core to Valve
CAC5100 - Top Radiator Hose
CAC9800 - Heater Hose - Core to Return Pipe
CBC5201 - Hose - Filler Pipe to Water Pump
CCC4723 - Hose - OTO Piece to Thermostat
EAC2928/7 - Hose - Pipe to Recovery Bottle
MHE4510AB - Radiator Hose Bottom - aka Octopus Hose
NBC2273AB - Hose from Water Rail, aka ******* Hose
NBC3041AA - Hose - Heated Breather to Thermostat Housing
EAC3803 - Bypass Elbow to Water Pump
CCC7263 - Filler Pipe to Tank
CCC6953 - Heater Hose, Valve to Cylinder Head

Does anyone have any history with these hoses?

Thanks.

If you follow the link I have posted below you can download the SNG Barratt catalog for your car with all of the parts blow ups.You should be able to match up with the pictures what you need.

There are 2 bottom water hoses for 1996 XJS. One is for cars with the heater (MHE4510BA) and one for cars without the heater (MHE4510AB). I have been searching for MHE4510BA, but it seems it is no longer available. If anyone knows if they are available, please let us know. I assume you could use the MHE4510AB if you remove the heater, but you know how that goes.

I noticed that. If I can’t make the AB hose work with the heater, that heater will be coming out. The hose I have on the car is about to celebrate it’s 23rd Birthday. A heater with a destroyed hose isn’t worth that much to me.

I doubt anyone will make the BA hose again.

I have a new hose MHE4510BA for the XJS. It is genuine Jaguar stock. If you are interested and need one please get in touch. I am in the UK. I have a fair quantity of other new but old Jaguar parts stock.

James,

I might be interested, but am slightly confused by Jaguar's parts diagram. MHE4510BA was the part number Jaguar originally quoted for the water heater--type pipe. Is your one a single-piece pipe or does it have the water heater built in?

Tks

Paul

My hose is a one piece assembly without the heater.
