I'm desperately trying to resolve the fog light issue so I can reinstall dash and see if I got that fixed. I have found a round plug that has power when the fog lights are turned on from the light switch...it is just loose and not plugged into anything. It seems that that plug is from the relay or switch and now I need to find where the matching plug from the fog lights is. I have tried to chase it under dash but have not been able to locate it. The fog light wires are red with a yello stripe. Below is a pic of the plug I need to know where it's matching plug is.

What year is your car? There were a couple different fog lamp wiring schemes.
On my '88 XJS, as I recall, the fog lamp circuit did not use that round connector. It was bypassed. Voltage from the switch went right thru the 'normally closed' contacts of the relay, thru the fuse, and on to the fog lamps.
The purpose of the relay was to *defeat* fog lamps when the high beam were on by opening the circuit
Does anything go to this red plug? Doesn't look like enough room for a relay to plug into it because of the structure in the way.
Not all cars had the same electrical equipment (varying mostly by market) or circuit configurations so it's very common to find vacant sockets and connectors. I dunno what that particular socket might've been used for but the wire colors might give a clue.
Red/Yellow is for switch to front fogs. Back in the good old days most cars were wired for all available options if fitted or not. Now in these cost cutting days only fitted options are wired. Seems you must find the matching plug and loom to continue or make your own.
