I need to replace my upper front shock bushes because my 91 still has the originals and I get the clinks and clanks over bumps.
In looking at this picture, what are the black bushes and the yellow ones? The blacks are simply "shock bushings", while the yellow are the "upper bushings"?
I'm probably about to do this as well on my '83. From what I understand the yellow rubber ones are factory Jaguar and the black are an upgrade to Poly. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
Those are Bilstien shocks in the pic. I put these in my car and with a 25mm front sway bar sharpened the car up dramatically.
The black go between the shock and the tower and the yellow under the nut. These are an upgrade to the OEM Jaguar units, but not as hard as rubber or Poly.
Do not use Poly anywhere in the front suspension (except the rack and maybe sway bar), you will regret it unless you race the car and NVH is of no concern.
