Front Subframe rear mount - thermals
I had a play at repositioning but didn't waste a lot of time. When tightened appropriately it simply sat back where it started, no gain except for the confirmation that working in that area is really no fun at all if you have bones - quite how you're ever supposed to check manifold nuts is a mystery, how you tighten them appropriately is an exercise in dexterity with open ended spanners.
Alas it is all back together now, the steering rack heatshield is back in place (that's a pig) and the thermal shield back on the starter, I ain't going in there again.
I reckon no problems probably means that those fitting them weren't paying much attention, or didn't care, or didn't understand why space is an issue, who knows, I can't return them either way because I've had them machined to suit Bosch 4.9 wideband lambda's, that and I bought them a couple of years ago before the project through me some more curves.

I know what you mean, i had mine on and off many times trying to “adjust” but they can really only sit one way. My drivers(lhd) O2 bung was also not in the correct spot. SP was good though, they sent me a replacement without the bung welded and I welded it myself. But in the end my OCD took over and I reverted back to factory catted downpipes.
Not really an option for me, I have ditched the Jaguar ECU and associated junk so I am committed to wideband Lambda, I had the pockets welded in vertically as the SP position is not suitable for such devices as they must be mounted to prevent condensation sitting in them - car wasn't built with cats so it ain't getting 'em but what I have planned for the injection etc requires something better than the old standard downpipes but I can't use the extractor types again due to the Lambda requirement.
