front suspension and brakes

front suspension and brakes
Hi All,
Now that my cat is running (thanks to everyone for the
hints) and has good oil pressure (7 year old oil is just not
good enough , it's time that I renew the front suspension.
I read Kirby's book and other resources.
Many sites sell ''Eurospare'' or similar brand upper/lower
ball joints for a fraction of the Lemforder price. Are they
just going to die right after I install them? Are there any
brands when it comes to the suspension/brakes that need to
be avoided?
Thanks

Hard to say ....I, for one, am not really familiar with all the off shore brands.
Quentin Hazel (sp?) is good, in my experience.
To be honest always specifiy Lemforder ball joints, though. It's known to be top grade. Replacing ball joints isn't the type of work I'd enjoy having to do over in a year or two. On less labor-intensive jobs I'll sometimes take a chance with less expensive parts.
Hopefully others will chime in with something more concrete.
Cheers

So, I finally took some time to install my new "Eurospare"
ball joints. % minutes after the installation the rubber
boots were disintegrated on both of them. This taught me a
lesson: do not buy any other ball joint but Lemforder!
Now I have to order the Lemforder and do the job again. What
self-respecting company would even sell these ball joints?
