Well she's in a garage! With a leaking Transmission sump! Haha! Well, I made a mistake with the millage of the new engine, it actually has 9,100 miles on it! Yes folks, 9,100!!! It was only used from 1989-1991 when the car crashed and the engine survived! It was in a barn for years and sold to my friend who fitted it to the XJS! I need to fix the transmission fluid leak then change the oil (I already started it for a few minutes to check it runs, which it does!) and I can go for a wee drive!

 

That's one heck of, although nice mistake to make. You might want to change that oil/filter before doing anything else though. It's been standing for 20 years!

 

Yeah I know! Acidity will be SKY HIGH! But at least it ran for a few minutes with no hick-ups
Do the XJ-S's have cam chains or belts? Cos a belt will need changed if it is...
