Fuel injector harness craze...
Hi all!
I've finally gotten around to get the fuel injector harness sorted (whilst waiting for an endoscope after possibly losing a washer through an open intake valve! ) and have noticed: it was well time! The cables are falling to pieces as we speak!
So, I've taken all the insulation off of the harness, trying to follow and understand the way the harness was made, but I've gotten stuck. Most harnesses are nowadays crimped. The 89 is as it seems too BUT this where I am stuck:
Each bank has 4 wires to the plug. These four wires split up to 12 (per bank!).
Example: 1A, 3A & 5A plus 2A, 4A & 6A. Each has of course two wires to activate the inkector...
HOW did Jaguar go from 1 to 3 wires? Is it soldered in there or crimped? If crimped: what crimp connector is to be used? Or another question: what would be the best way to sort this?
Cheers
Damien
PS: I'm splitting the harness as Bank A and Bank B...

It was just crimped and wrapped by cloth tape, which was totally dried out and crumbed...
You will have to crimp 4 wires each, in my case I couldn't find any decent sized crimps, so I crimped them with a piece of brass and I soldered it afterwards to secure the connection.
