XJS 1995 4.0. The central door locking isn't working; each time I attempt to lock the doors with the key, the system proceeds to engage locks then immediately releases and opens up again. The remote fob, makes two beeps and also refuses to lock the system.
Any help from you nice chappies out there ?

It sounds like the car thinks that something is open? Maybe there's some contact at the trunk or one of the doors that isn't closing when the trunk or door or closed.
