Smile Fuel injectors and rail. 92 V12 XJS.

Hello.

My mechanic tells me that an injector is "weeping" but he doesn't want to do the work. Please, don't go there. I get this a lot with my V12 XJS. Many so called mechanics are scared to work on them. Anyway, moving on, I remember someone posting here that there is a guy that will recondition or replace the injectors and replace the fuel lines with the correct hose material but I cant find a post or remember where I saw it. If someone can please let me have his contact info I'd appreciate it.

Thanks all. I love this forum and will, in due course, write my experiences with our latest XJS. This is our second 92 V12 XJS and was purchased with the promise that "Everything works" from the PO. Unfortunately, he missed out the word PROPERLY. We've had the car getting on for 4 years now and am getting it close to everything working properly. Isn't it fun owning a Jaguar.

Hi NC Jagman

If you've got a 'weeping injector' and don't get it fixed, then you won't be driving an XJS for much longer, as before you know it your Car will turn into a Fireball, that you won't be able to put out very easily

Its not the most difficult job on the list and so I am very surprised that they don't want to know 'but then again maybe I'm not'

Give this place a go - I've heard several people on the forums mention this guy:
Jaguar Fuel Injector Service

Don't worry. I'm not driving it. I know all about their tendency to burn.

Just an FYI...If your car is a 92, the injectors don’t have any hoses. There’s just a short crossover hose between the two rails.

Yes it is a 92 so that will make it much easier. Thanks.
