Default Fuel injectors testing rig

Hi to all, I am sure this has been done before in many different ways, just wanted to share my approach. In this setup I can mount the complete rail with all 12 injectors and use the cars FPR. The fuel pump I'm using is from FI 1995 - 2001 VW Beatle and is rated at 50 psi and 100 lpm, and as you can see, it's all contained in a very easy to use arrangement, is also very cheap. The fluid is low flammable used to test injectors. The pulsing board was modified in some way by the seller to handle the low impedance injectors, and I am running them in 4 channels of 3 injectors each, just as the car is supposed to run.
This is a work in progress, and the videos and pictures were for me as reference, so be kind with the quality of them... BTW, kudos to the people that have YouTube channels and make such wonderful videos... I just don't have the ability...

Excellent piece of equipment you have come up with, and excellent videos. It appears that the injectors under test all flowed the same, and I suppose you could leave the rail pressurized to test for leakage. Now for a way to simulate a hot soak…..
Great work!

Thanks for your comments, next will be to modify the hose from the rail to the FPR to install a pressure gauge.

Cheers

I need someone like you as a nearby buddy.
My rude and crude method was to jury rig one 1️⃣ injector at a time to spray into a gallon jug over a 10 second run time then pour the result into a calibrated tube.
All were slightly different which I assumed was due to me. Probably faster or slower on the on/off switch.
My measuring medium was injector cleaning fluid. ( previously used to clean them.).

Alfredo, do you have a website or other contact info for the people that made the pulsing board? I tried reading the website details in the photo, but couldn't make them out.
Thanks,
Jon

Mguar, yes, it is very practical and inexpensive to build, and even it does not shows on any of the videos, you can vary the pulsing frequency. It's a shame I didn't record it, but I have an extra rail with injectors from a parts car of unknown condition, well, 11 of the 12 injectors were frozen, after some time tapping on them and running the fluid with "fuel tank injector cleaner", all 12 are working with very similar volumes... I am still running them through different frequency cycles... But they are now very close to each other.

Jon, will do that tomorrow, I'm out of town and don't have his info with me. I don't know him, he is in Guadalajara, Mexico, but it seems to be an honest guy and knows what he is doing, he sells the board on a platform called "Mercado Libre", similar to Ebay for Latin America, so you have all kind of buyer protection, PayPal, etc... The board was custom modified and I chose to make the deal outside MercadoLibre, so I do have his contact information... Being in electronics, I'm sure he can at least read and write English... But I can help you if needed...

Great job. Is it common for there to be much variation in the standard injectors? I did a rudimentary test on mine individually with the pressure source being a can of brake cleaner, & although a crude test, they all seemed fairly similar to me.

Hi to all,
This is the contact information on the person that I bought the pulsing board from:

Mauricio Marquez
delectronicoyautomatizacion@gmail.com
Phone: +52 3311961843

I usually reach him via WhatsApp, but you can email or call. Make sure to let him know you will be running 12 low impedance injectors in 4 channels with 3 injectors each, so he can make whatever changes are needed.
Keep in mind this is just the board, I added a timer relay, another relay for the on/off manual and toggle switches, and a fuel pump relay... He might be able to add all of this...
I hope this works for you.
