Fuel sender ohm range
The standard range for many years, dating back to Mark 2/ E Type senders is 25-250 ohms. I believe that 25 is empty, but I'm not sure on that. It would take me a while to dig out a sender to measure.
I measured several senders, different models from the1960's-80's. They were consistent, 15 ohms empty, 250 full. I have not checked that against a Smiths Gauge to see if I was holding them upside down, but judging by the way the float moved I don't think so.
Edit: For clarity, the 15 isn't a typo, the 25 I put in my initial response was incorrect.
