Default Fuel smell and emission control missing

Newbie with 1989 conv. The PO has disconnected pretty much the
entire emission controls. There is a flexible tube plugged with a
bolt near the pass wheelwell that seems like it may have connected
to the cannister (which also seems to be missing). Is there a
schematic that I can download to trace and connect / reinstall the
missing necc components?
I'm sure thats the first thing to do in an attempt to elim the gas
fumes from the cabin and trunk. HELP!

@ herk

Thats a bit unfortunate. If I remember there is quite a good diagram in the Repair Operations Manual of the whole system.

Do you have access to a Repair Operations Manual ? If not it's probably a good idea to buy one anyway, but if you don't I can scan you the relevant page out of mine once I get back to the US (later on today)

I replied to your post on JagLovers earlier today...

For ''schematics'' checkout:

http://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/ht...cationType=JCP

Under ''XJS Sports Coupe/Convertible'', choose ''XJS (From (V)139052
up to (V)179736)'' which covers your '89, then''ENGINE
MANAGEMENT/EMISSION SYSTEMS''
