Default gear shift selector plate

My gear shift selector plate (PRND23) sticker is crazed, thus when the selector light shines through you can see all the cracks in the backing sticker. Anyone ever refurbed theirs, or do you have to buy the complete panel plate. I can't find just the backing sticker (if that's what it is)

cheers

these are very delicate bits of old plastic, and don't respond well to being polished and painted , I have tried, but there is no harm in trying if you accept that you may have to replace anyway

pm me if interested in a near perfect replacement , along with a new blue coloured backlight mask and an LED lamp that is brighter and doesn't create any heat

I agree, age is against them now.

Try Doug at JagDaim in Melbourne, they have a lot of this older stuff.

My old One has a slightly larger opening for the shifter and the screw holes are out by a few mm

the one on the left is from an XJ6 I think , as the decal print is also different , the one on the right is the correct one for an XJS of this era

is the one on the left a ' new ' part or a salvaged part ? doesn't look ' brand new ' ?

It's was sent as new item part code CAC5491. When I looked up the heritage sites that's the correct part number but it's not quite right. Not home yet so I haven't been able to check the parts catalogue on the jag heritage cd rom.
