While I’m not against a stripe, I’m against the stripe you posted.

If your heart is set on something like this, you need to consider different design options as this one is not good.

I would suggest that the fact you have asked the question means that you are concerned about what other people think. In that case, you definitely should not do the stripe - the overwhelming majority will not like it.
However, if you really don't care what anyone thinks and you like it, just do it. Preferably in vinyl, that you can peel off if you don't like it so much in the flesh, or ever want to sell the car!
