Headlight Wiper Blades 1990 XJS V12
In the event that I manage to fix the ABS Brakes on my 1990 XJS V12 'The Ice Princess'
I have noticed that unlike my 1989 XJS V12, She has Wiper Blades on the Headlights and these Wiper Blades (the rubbers) are falling to bits.
Although I really don't see them as being essential, as after all my 'Grey XJS' doesn't have them, they will have to be fixed to get through the MOT.
Where is the Best Place to buy some, that wouldn't be horrendously expensive.

Thanks, I never thought of that!
I seem to remember they only need to be working, if they are fitted, so taking them off would be a good solution.
Assuming of course I can get them off, after all this time.

OB,
AFAIK, the MoT legislation says that headlamp wash systems are only mandatory for HID lighting systems. So, even if fitted on a halogen light system, they don't have to work for an MoT as they are not a testable item.
As regards the blades, still available from Jaguar but at £27 each. However, if it's just the rubbers, I would think you could just buy the cheapest rubber inserts from Halfords and cut them to fit with a bit of fettling.
Good luck

Thanks
I somehow had the feeling they would be expensive but even so £54 a pair does seem a bit over the Top!
As I remember from 12 years ago, they always got into the way when washing the Car.
So Plan 'A' will be to remove them and Plan 'B' a Trip to Halfords for some inserts.

The car is now in Norfolk being disassembled. David said that he bumped into you at the NEC?
