help requested vacuum capsule
Hi all,
Help! I need advise regarding the the vacuum control capsule on my Australian fuel injected 1978 Series 2 Daimler Double Six.
The unit has failed and I noticed a replacement on eBay offered by my usually helpful Melbourne parts supplier.
Apparently the failed item is an advance/ retard capsule with pipes attaching to both sides of the diaphragm ie 2 outlets. The one for sale is a straight vacuum advance with only manifold suction outlet.
At this stage the parts supplier was less than helpful with some talk of timing changes etc.
I am very keen to know if this unit can be adapted to my car and if so what changes are required.
Any information greatly appreciated
Al
