Default Help - Steering Wheel....

I've just got hold of a lovely Momo steering wheel but now need to fit it - the Momo bosses are shown as good for 1975-1986 but my car is a 1990.....is there any reason why the earlier boss won't fit??

Thanks!!

Bit difficult to say. Jaguar went to the Airbag wheel and changed the steering column in 1990. I am assuming you do not have airbag wheel if you are replacing it, so I would say that most likely it will work. As far as I know the column was the same until changed to the height adjustable. I do not know if the mount is the same.

the later 1989 MY onwards car had a different auto indicator cancelling system , basically a peg on the back of the steering wheel that activated it , as well as the mild facelift steering column surround and indicator stalks ,

so the momo kit will not auto cancelled the indicators, and the airbag would need to be ' altered'

They sell adapters for the 90 and later cars. Search nardi jaguar on eBay and some will pop up. If you use the earlier adaptor on your 90 you will have to manually turn off your turn signals everytime.
