Default help from a u.s member required

I had a lift lock fitted to the ram on the hood so that, at shows, the bonnet wont drop on anyone who may be there when/if it drops, (health and safety)
at the annual safety check yesterday a tester guy broke it
I can get one from the u.s. only, and the guy wants £35.00 postage
it only weighs 0.2 lb about £8 postage, I need a usa member to forward one to me if I buy from ebay and have it sent to them (us postage is included in the price) and I will reimburse via pay pal
can anyone help please
