Default how can a fuel pump go out in 6 months

I replaced in April. Now it is not working again. I checked everything. Power going to plug. Then I hot wired from battery. Still no action.

How could a bosch pump go bad that fast. I there something else I should be worried about.

. We put one in my sons firebird about 3 months ago and it lasted two weeks. Went with an OEM Delco, working fine ever sense. Not sure about Bosch, but a lot of pumps are coming out of china and they don't hold up well at all. Almost forgot, the pump we put in my Lincoln LS made it about two weeks too! You'd think I'd have learned the first time!

A lot of crap parts are coming out of Red China. Take a look at the junk that the chain parts stores are selling.

Could be crap from china but also could be debris in the tank.
Consider using a pre-pump filter like one of those below.

WIX 33299 - has 1/2 inlet and outlet for easy hose snip and two clamp installation. This was suggested by another forum member and has a steel body.

WIX 33003 - has 3/8 inlet and outlet so you may need 1/2 to 3/8 hose adapters.
This is the one I use because it's made of clear plastic so its easily to tell if the media is clogged. The size difference does make installation much more difficult.
