How to determine if you have the 'Sport Package"?

75gremlin,
It;s relatively to state what you SHOULD have depending on the engine size and year, if the car was specified as standard. The difficulty is that it was possible to order Sports suspension on a car that would normally have Touring suspension and vice versa. And because most cars may have had replacement springs, shocks and tyres since new, it becomes difficult to tell.
However, in simple terms, if you've got a big-bumpered car and you've got original green shock absorbers, you've got Sports suspension.
The definitive answer is to order a Heritage build certificate from Jaguar which will tell you.
Hope that helps.

The green Bilsteins came in at big-bumper time, which is VIN 188105 end of April 1993.
I think Americans mean something different when they say "93". All cars built from May 1993 with Sports Suspension do not have a rear anti-roll bar as it was deleted from the above VIN changepoint.
Hope that helps

75gremlin,
The issue is that "Sportspack" means different things depending which year you're talking about. The later spec used a standardised steering rack bush setup.
IMO, the best rack improvement is to put £30 worth of 'urethane bushes in the rack. Transformed the handling for me and much more long-lived than original standard or the old sports bushes. Just my opinion.
