Pretty sure that, if it was needed, they would have just used bacon fat.
thermal heat sink paste .....

ah... was invented during the invention of the TRANSISTOR....
all power transistors used it to mate to their heat sinks ...

modern computers now use it and I used computer arctic-silver... on my modules...

so after the switch from tubes to transistors... this stuff has been around

I would like to see the equivalent circuits done in tubes...
talk about current and heat...

I love tubes, high distortion but it's all 2nd harmonic none of this 5th harmonic you get from solid state................ They also keep the room warm LOL.

I LOVE a Good Classic Audio Amp... I was never crazy about the advent of the CLASS D amplifier... though I just picked up a Bluetooth (audioAmp) and box (plexiglass) that is the size of a box of kitchen matches(anyone remember kitchen matches?) with half the thickness and puts out 40 watts rms actually sounds nice through a pair of Minimus 7's

I had picked up a carver MXR130 MAGNETIC FIELD POWER AMPLIFIER RECEIVER and reconditioned it and gifted it to a co-worker (a hobby for me)

Good to see another HIFI nut.

I did my Apprenticeship with Marantz, I had a Linn / Naim system for a long time, now I design build my own Speakers and Amplifiers.
