Default I found it!!!

After a long research and at the edge of giving up because all I could find was either too expensive or with severe mechanical problems, out of nowhere I found this exceptional unit extremely well maintained and with an astonishing mileage of only 37.000 miles, 120% proven. It has two or three things because the age is there no matter the care, but they are all very minor. The engine and transmission work like a Swiss watch, and all the electronics work like new. The leather, wood and interior in general is also in almost pristine condition. I cannot believe how lucky I got because the price was also too low to be true, but it really was.
As I wrote once, I am also very lucky to have in Barcelona one of the best independent mechanics in all of Europe specialised in classic British cars, and they know the XJS like the back of their hands. This week we will replace absolutely all the filters and fluids (and when I say all, I mean ALL, and not just engine oil), clean the radiator and cooling circuit, and we will also check all the rubber hoses of this circuit and the fuel one because no matter how well maintained the car has been, those rubber components are 25 years old. We will also check battery and ground points.
I want to thank you again for all the useful advice you gave me that helped me make a completely informed purchase.

Wow, you even got the trip computer, which was not a standard part for the I6.

Teves IV ABS.

Quad light conversion....

OEM (looking at least) fog lamps!!!

You hit the motherlode!

One recommendation, swap out the ski slope for one with cup holders....they only fit cans, or regular sized cups, but much more worthwhile than the cigar ashtrays.

Actually two. Swap out the ancient speakers.

Yes, it seems that we hit a good Jackpot, but I do not consider it luck but a rigorous homework that made me identify a good unit immediately and take a calculated risk. And all that homework was made thanks in part to the priceless advice and information that you all generously gave me.
Me and my girlfriend are smokers (unfortunately), so we value the two ashtrays. I would have prefered the car with analog clock rather than the computer, because it gives it a more "retro" look. But it is obvious that I would not reject the car just because of the computer.

My prefered color was green, and I checked one two weeks ago that looked absolutely gorgeous, but it had severe mechanical problems. Blue was not my favorite, but now the more I look at it, the more I like it.

I will have to disagree with my friend here on the ashtrays. What is a 1970’s car (which all XJS’s really are) without an ashtray??!!

great find, hope you enjoy it !!
