Hi Guys I have a 1992 XJS with a AJ6 4 litre my problem is the inlet manifold has a crack in it dont know what the PO done to it it runs fine if I put gaffer tape over it, my question is can I fit the later AJ16 manifold & is there anything else I would need to fit along with it, only asking as my local scrappy has a XJ40 with a AJ16 engine that he is braking for spare

 

Can you not repair the crack by drilling both ends to stop the crack going further. dremeling it into a v groove and filling with chemical metal or similar?

 

Is the manifold same as the 3.6L engine as I know where you can buy one of those. A mate of mine is dismantling an 87 xjs and has most parts.

my thinking is get the manifold complete with the fuel rail & injectors
