When i first got my XJS in 2010 it had been sitting since 1997. needless to say I had to replace these.

I got the cheapest ones I could find on ebay at the time, before I knew any of the brand names. I ended up with a set of URO parts and they have worked perfectly since then. URO makes OEM spec low cost jag parts and I haven't had any issue with anything I have purchased from them (apart from some coolant hoses that were a bit too thin).

I saw another brand for a dollar less on ebay that have a lifetime warranty. Maybe those?? I wouldn't doubt their fit too much, they are just generic hood struts. I wouldn't go overboard and buy heavy duty ones thinking the hood is heavy because it could bend something if you pull the hood down from one side. Just get what is sold for them

I used the ebay part No. and did a search, it took me to a jag site, so I ordered a set there, same price as ebay ones.
