How do I tell what front struts my car takes? I have a 2001 XKR Base. I removed the strut and it has electrical connection at the top. I see prices for two different types of shocks. With and Without Computer Active Technology Suspension (CAT). Some help would be great.

 

If you have the electrical connection then you have the CATS system.

Don't be afraid.......unless you really want to keep the car stock the CATS shocks can be replaced with standard standard shocks. There are those who say they can't really tell the difference, others will say they can. Also changing the shocks to standard will not throw any codes as long as you unplug the control module. For a couple hundred bucks difference in price it's up to you.
